Connectivity, Causality, Chronometry in fMRI: roads to explore, pitfalls to avoid

Abstract:

Connectivity studies have evolved from a niche topic to a dominant area within the fMRI community.
In this talk, I will describe the main tools available today for the study of fMRI-based connectivity and 
some of the most exciting recent developments, including the study of causal links (Causality) and 
relative timings (Chronometry) of brain activity. Common mistakes and pitfalls will be highlighted. I will
finish with some examples of recent work that will hopefully illustrate the potential of connectivity 
approaches.
